Yen was born and grew up in a loving and caring family with nothing to worry about, as a result she often not preoccupy with people who are less fortunate than herself. However when she embarked on a charity trip to Vietnam, organised by Father Liem, she had an eye-opening experience about the disparity in society. Yen saw what life is like on the other side of the world and learnt to appreciate everything that she had. Her perspective on life changed when she met with unfortunate, disabled people and orphans who brought tears to her eyes. Their beautiful smiling faces and genuine gratitude made Yen feel motivated to do much more for them. She hopes that her work will help to share their stories and procure support for them.
