Medical facility (Kontum)
With the generous donations received from our 2016 Annual Fundraising Dinner, VABAA was able to fund the reconstruction of a much needed medical facility in Gia Lai, Kontum, in the central highlands region of Vietnam. Before the reconstruction, the facility was old, small and run down, with no sheltered waiting area or enough room for overnight stay. Since the reconstruction and expansion, there is now a covered waiting area, small kitchen, medicine room, physio room, new toilets and enough space for overnight beds. The medical facility is run by Sister Ngoc Ha, a qualified doctor who has been able to provide free medical check ups, free meals, basic physiotherapy and free medicine to twice as many local ethnic villagers.
